Whatever you are doing right now that is contributing to your future.

Mostly, we sit down and plan things. We analyze the past and execute the future.

The logical way is to take the necessary steps to achieve a goal. After all, we have limited time and energy.

If you’re stuck in life or not growing at your desired speed, chances are, some bad habits have sabotaged your life. You might assume that these harmless tiny bad habits are doing nothing, but in reality, they are ruining your life.

Here are seven habits that you need to quit right now to live a happy life tomorrow.

1. Stop living a mediocre life

Robin Sharma, in his latest book, The Everyday Hero Manifesto, talks about the power of giving out your best to life.

“Develop the guts to play out on the edges of your powers. Because as you visit your limits, those limits will expand.”

Stop living in your comfort zone. Genuises are born away from their comfort zones. Happiness is not about avoiding painful things; it’s about chasing the things we love the most.

Instead of saying ‘yes’ to everything, say ‘no’ to things that don’t add value to your life.

2. Quit Self-sabotaging

As Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) advises his son:

“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.”

Avoid anything that limits your growth. Train your mind to dream big dreams and find anything that is coming in between your dreams. Develop patterns to help you get closer to your goal.

3. Stop doing the wrong things

Bronnie Ware, in his world-famous book, The Top Five Regrets of the Dying, puts courage to live a life true to myself on the top spot.

Life is short. Stop worrying about what other people will think about you. Do whatever makes you happy.

4. You cannot everything

Certain things are in your control, and some things are out of your control. Kill the habit of trying to control everything in life. You can only control how you react to things in life. To stay happy, leave things that are out of your control and let GOD handle the rest.

5. Blaming others

Everything that happens in your life is your doing. If you do hard work, you’ll be rewarded. If you become lazy, your friend will become a billionaire and make you jealous.

Stop blaming others and start doing whatever is in your hand. Do the work. Make yourself happy. Only you are responsible for your happiness.

6. Past is a dark tunnel with no end

Nothing great is ever achieved by living in the past. Focus on the present. Create memories today so that you can enjoy them with your grandsons.

7. Constant complaining

If you wake up without pain in your body, food on your table, and a car at your garage, you are not entitled to complain about your life.

When you catch yourself complaining, take a moment to be grateful.

Develop the habit of saying ‘thank you’ to anything that life throws at you. If you learn this single habit, your life will never be the same again.

Happiness is a choice. When you eliminate these bad habits, you’ll live a life worth telling your grandsons.
