Want to be more productive while working, studying or browsing? Here are 8 useful Google Chrome extensions that you’re sure going to want to install!

1.Selectext— Copy text from videos!

Copy any on-screen text directly from videos with Selectext. Make online learning easier with a richer video experience. Copy any text including handwriting, code, and links. Works on all video sites including Youtube, Udemy, Coursera, Skillshare, as well as University lecture recordings.

2.Glasp— Social Web Highlighter & Note-taking

Glasp is a free Chrome Extension that lets you quickly capture online content with colored highlighting options, which are then automatically curated to your Glasp homepage. These highlights can then be tagged, searched for, linked to, and shared on a variety of other platforms, including Twitter, Teams, and Slack.

You can see all the highlights and notes in the sidebar on the web, and clicking each highlight takes you to the highlighted place in the web page. Also, you can tag the web page and see what other people highlighted in the website from the sidebar. With one click, the content you’ve collected appears across all your devices!

3.YouTube Playback Speed Control

Youtube playback speed increase or decrease is just a mouse click or keyboard button away. Get more out of Youtube and control speed of youtube video easily either by clicking the speed overlay button on the top right hand corner or just keyboard button ‘+’ and ‘-’. Keyboard button are configurable and if you want to use different key, you can change this default keys from settings tab.

4.Screenshot YouTube

Adds a “Screenshot” button to the YouTube video player which saves a screenshot of the currently playing video as a file, or copies it to the clipboard, or both. Optionally with keyboard shortcuts, and buttons for changing the playback rate.

5.Save In

Adds a context menu to save media {image, video, audio, link, selection, page} in user-defined folders or directories relative to the default download location. Save into dynamically named directories. Flexible rules-based download renaming and routing. Option to save as shortcuts {.url, .desktop, .html redirect}.

6.Auto Highlight

This extension automatically highlights the important content on article pages. It addresses *tl;dr* in a similar way to an article summarizer. To use, click the highlighter icon in the location bar. Clicking multiple times changes the highlighting coverage. As the page receives more highlighting from clicking the icon, the icon will show less available ink in the highlighter.
