As a startup founder and a podcast host myself, I’m constantly looking for new podcasts to turn to for inspiration and asking my network for recommendations.

But what I’ve noticed over the last couple of years is that whenever I ask people what and who they’re listening to, I get the same few answers almost all of the time:

  • Mixergy
  • Acquired
  • My First Million
  • Naval
  • Masters of Scale

And while all of the creators above are absolute beasts and must-listens, if they’re the only podcasts on your list as well, I think you’re missing out.

That’s why I made a list of my top 9 absolute favorite podcasts that should be on every startup founder’s list:

1. Startup Exits Podcast

This podcast focuses on the stories of startup founders and how they navigated the journey of building and exiting their businesses. "Startup Exits" offers valuable insights and lessons for anyone looking to start their own business. My favorite thing about Startup Exits (besides it being my baby 😅) and what makes it stand out among all the other listen-only content is that the most popular episodes also feature articles that highlight the top moments of the episode. Check out the episode with
Chris Barton, the founder of Shazam:

Hosted by Guy Raz, "How I Built This" is an inspiring and educational listen for anyone looking to start their own business.

This podcast is produced by the startup accelerator, Y Combinator, and features interviews with successful startup founders, as well as lectures from industry experts. I would love to hear from you in the comments:

  1. What other startup podcasts should I add to this list?
  2. Have you found the startups you haven’t listened to yet on my list? Which ones did you love? Which ones — not so much?

Let me know :)
