It’s not what we do once in a while that transforms or shapes our lives, it’s what we do consistently — Anthony Robbins.

One of the most essential factors for achieving your goals and dreams is a passion for what you’re doing. Intelligence, courage, or connections might also help, but then success can be sweeter due to passion and consistency.

This might sound interesting and captivating, but in reality, most of us have gone through phases where we were consistent in doing just a single thing.

You guessed that right — PROCRASTINATION.

If this is the present reality of your life, then you’re not alone.

It’s easy to fall prey to procrastination or the habit of getting distracted by unimportant/trivial affairs. However, building a benchmark and self-reliance for consistency is no astrophysics as well.

Dark and challenging as it might appear now, it’s not the end of the tunnel. Hope and light await you just around the corner. You just need to embrace your passion and then become consistent at keeping the show on.

The vital part of this journey lies in your ability to take the few steps towards becoming steady and positive in all life situations.

In this post, I’ll be discussing three importance of passion and consistency. Hoping that it’ll motivate you to yearn for more and become better at what you’re doing.

Ready for this? Let’s get started.

CONSISTENCY CAN FASTEN YOUR DEVELOPMENT OR IMPROVEMENT IN ANY AREA:

If you study the life and principles of great men today, one of the typical traits you’ll always find among them is consistency.

In reality, when you’re passionate about something and consistent at doing it, it becomes easier for you to grow and become exceptional.

Ultimately, an act of consistency will speed up your accomplishments, build your self-confidence, and set you up for bigger and more challenging goals.

CONSISTENCY TRUMPS GOAL SETTING:

The web went into a frenzy when Adams Scott declared that “Goals are for losers.” He was trying to pass across a message that in life, a process is much more important than the end results.

What you do every day is much more important than what you plan to achieve.

For instance, you can aim to become a famous author, or you can bleed 500 words per day onto the page come high water or hell. You can also play a popular song on the piano by the end of July or design the habit that consistently gets you in front of the piano keys for twenty minutes after work every day.

You get the idea, right?

When you’re trying to achieve something (no matter how great it might be), always start small and remain consistent- there’s power in ACTION.

CONSISTENCY IS INTEGRAL TO CREATIVITY:

At this point, I’d love to quote the words of Bruce Lee, who said, “if you spend so much time thinking about an idea or goal without taking any step, you’ll never get it done.”

In reality, the inverse is hardly ever true, because doing something great demands you to think about it.

One way to get your inspirational juices flowing?

Jump on the consistency bandwagon and keep pushing on.

When you’re consistent at chasing a goal, you become open to good ideas and creativity. Just embrace consistency (no matter how difficult it might seem)- it’s just as simple as it sounds.

I’m tempted to even state that the result for consistent work is a consistent inspiration. Consistency creates a state that connects new ideas.

You get the gist?

Ideas and creativity aren’t a predefined bucket that you be scared of drying up. When you’re consistently working on things you love and enjoy, creative walls will come down, and insignificant moments will spark some creativity.

I’d love to conclude with this quote:

In the process of building a consistent life centered around your passion, always learn to give yourself some space because fire only burns when they have room to breathe.

That’s all for now.
