Don’t let this happen to you.

Some people don’t want to succeed.

I’ve been trying to teach a friend to limit his negative thinking, but the person is unwilling to put any effort into it.

I’ve gifted that person books to read, audiobooks to listen and book summaries to read, and I’ve even tried to sit and have a one-to-one talk about what he is doing wrong. But some people don’t want to be helped.

It’s like they’re stuck in this cycle and don’t want to get out of it.

It’s been more than a year trying to save the guy, but he is not improving at all. So, I’ve left him on his own. Maybe life will teach him a lesson that will be hard to digest, but surely you cannot force positivity on anyone.

If you’re not willing to improve yourself, you won’t succeed.

If you’re like my friend, consider me as a friend and listen to my advice. Life is short. To excel in life, you must break the comfort zone and move out. Here is what you can do to move out of your comfort zone and succeed:

  • Try new things every day: You don’t know what will improve your life, so you should try new things and figure out what excites you.
  • If you’re not failing, you’re doing it wrong: Failure is part of the process. If you’re not failing quite often, it means you’re doing it wrong. When you fail, you learn and grow and become a better version of yourself.
  • Read a lot: To get better in life, read many books. It can be fiction, non-fiction, or blogs. But develop a habit of reading daily. It will nourish your soul and enhance your perspective of life and people.
  • Stay consistent: You can achieve big things in life if you stay consistent. Take baby steps. One step each day towards your goal will make things easy for you.
  • Help other people: Don’t wait for other people’s permission to help them. If you’re in a position to help someone, help them out.
  • Stop judging people: Maybe someone is having a bad day, so be kind to everyone you meet. And leave them better than you found them.
  • Start a side-hustle: One stream of income is not enough. Go for a side-hustle. Work on that after your regular job.
  • Be grateful: I cannot finish my blog without mentioning my favorite topic. Be grateful for the gift of life. There are tons of things that you can be grateful for. Your life, family, friends, and the house you’re living.
