if you want to learn how to play the game, you can download the halfling mod. it's available for download as a file named halfling + halfling.wad from this site . you'll also want to make sure the game is actually set for the halfling unit and then go ahead and start the game from the menu. read the halfling mod instructions first. the halfling mod, to be honest, is just a mod that makes units like dwarfs, halflings, and elves into the halfling unit, so it can be used with any bfme mod.
basically, the game is played through the action screen. when you're ready to start the game, click on the one stick strategy button in the top-left corner of the action screen. then click on the start battle button. you'll then see a 3d battlefield, with your opponent's two units on the bottom left and right side of the screen. click anywhere on the battlefield to select your units and click the fire button to command them. the action screen will also let you pause the game and change how you're playing it.
just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work you put into this patch. this is the best fan patch i've tried yet and it's made my game so much better. it still doesn't work on my copy but i'll definitely keep trying! any chance of adding the music from the first game as well? some of the music in it is fantastic. :d
