Did you have the top tighten properly? The top threads into the manifold. If they are evenly tight, there should be no rubbing noise at the mating surfaces. If the noise persists, the manifold could be cracked, but that's not a problem, just fix it.
i have a 2001 nissan murano with 135,000 mi. i was driving past a police car and he honked at me because i was going a little too slow. i was coming down the street and the light turned green and the cop formed behind me and followed me to a stop and he pulled me over. ( i guess the light was too slow) i lowered my window and he told me to roll up my window immediately. then he added that it is illegal to roll up your window, that i was running out of fuel in my gas tank. i did not however have to stop. i was a league athlete why would i be on a gas guage? one thing was different though the cop told me to stay in the car for while. as i was getting back into my car he told me that he saw me doing something wrong. i didnt know what i did so it made me mad so i told him that i am not under the influence. so he just left me alone and told me to drive home. i was not speeding or going more than 60 mph when the cop pulled me over. i feel that this cop was out of line. was this something that i should have been arrested for. this has happened before with other police officers. i never felt like i was doing something wrong. a0fb89163a
