Creators are the heart and soul of Tealfeed. As they continuously work towards feeding us more information every day, it's only fitting to bring out their journey for the world to know.

In this series “Creators Spotlight”, we are asking our creators about their journey. Watch out for them sharing their journey and getting candid with us.

Today we have with us Chris Fulmer. Chris, a digital branding strategist and a web designer, shares growing up in South Carolina, and talks about the need of having a work-life balance.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life? What lessons did that person or those people teach you?

My previous employers have been excellent teachers. I’ve learned many things that go into building a successful career and business, but I’ve also learned from their mistakes and what to avoid.

Tell us about your childhood, what was the best part? Is there any specific incident that has largely influenced the kind of person you are today?

I spent a lot of time alone, so I was good at keeping myself busy. I was creative – always writing and play-acting. I think that period prepared me for the lifestyle and career I have now, especially when it comes to being creative and having self-discipline to work alone.

Where is your hometown, and what was it like when you were young?

I was born in Conway, South Carolina, USA – a small town just off the southeastern US coast. That was about fifty years ago, and the times were simpler.

It was much less hectic – the world didn’t operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. It was much easier to maintain a work-life balance.

How important a role does content play in your life? Are you a full-time content creator? Why did you start creating content?

We live in a great time – The Information Age – a time when know-how is just a few clicks away. Like so many others, I’ve taken the opportunity to use it to improve and enhance the value I offer.

I am a full-time content creator and started developing content because I enjoy teaching, and because we need more content that offers practical information we can put to use each day. It isn’t just about getting smarter, it’s about leveraging what we already know.

I’m creating resources and tools to help business owners implement brand strategies and tactics that will help them grow. I’m also planning to write a book on small business branding. But most of all, I enjoy working with businesses 1-on-1 and seeing them break through many of the obstacles that have been holding them back for a long time.

What drives you to create content regularly?

The marketplace changes every day and is becoming more competitive all the time. Marketing costs are on the rise too, which makes it tougher for smaller businesses to compete. So, I have a real sense of obligation to share everything I know which—I hope—will help businesses keep up and even excel in a difficult marketing environment.

Anything else you would like our audience to know about you!

I’m also a musician and love spending time with my family. I think it’s crucial for every business owner to enjoy life as much as possible and value their relationships. A balanced life is a happy life!

What made you opt to become a creator on Tealfeed?

I was looking for a new platform that I could add value to and one that wasn’t oversaturated, yet a platform I believed would grow into something significant. I think Tealfeed is on its way to becoming a fantastic source of information and a premier platform for businesses and entrepreneurs.

How would you want people to remember you?

That I’ve tried to do everything to the best of my ability and that it’s never to late to redeem the past.

What's success for you and when you would consider yourself to be successful?

For me, success is knowing that I’m making a difference and that I’ve been able to do it without compromising my principles and values. Also, to know that I’ve been able to do it all while keeping a balanced life. With that in mind, I already see myself as a successful person.

Few maintain consistency, few remain unique, and fewer are the ones who do both of these right, and earn a spot in Tealfeed Spotlight.
