What foods are allergic to

An allergy is a reaction of the immune system to a foreign protein that enters the body. The interesting thing is that the first time your body may not react in any way to the allergen. Only after the second or third contact with this substance can itching, runny nose, redness, etc. appear. Therefore, sometimes it is very difficult to determine what you are really allergic to: medicine, animals, weather conditions, or products.

After testing and diagnosis, you can begin a course of allergy treatment with folk remedies. To avoid a relapse or worsening, the patient will have to follow a strict diet. Usually the menu is prescribed based on the patient's condition.

What foods are most often allergic to?

Allergies can be anything, from strawberries to wheat. It's impossible to list everything. But most often it concerns eggs, milk, sea creatures (mussels, squids, clams, fish), nuts, chocolate, citrus fruits.

Less often our body reacts to a certain kind of meat. It can be either poultry, pork or beef. Sometimes an insensitivity to milk develops. But you have to be careful here, because allergies and intolerances are two different things. If you feel sick from cow's and goat's milk, it means that your body does not produce the substance responsible for digesting lactose.

This happens in many adults. Such people do not consume dairy products at all, be it cottage cheese or butter, sour cream, etc. Even chocolate, which contains this ingredient, can cause a violent reaction, up to and including Quincke's edema.

Eggs are one of the strongest allergens. The reason is the protein, which is rich in albumin. But if it is cooked (boiled or baked), this substance becomes less active. You can eat buns or salads. But it is not recommended to drink raw eggs - this will only make it worse.

Fish has almost no allergenic properties. Even if you boil or bake it, an allergic person will feel bad after eating it. But it is not necessarily the case that all sea or river dwellers cause the disease. Often the body reacts either to crabs and squid, or to crayfish and oysters, or to red meat.

How food allergies manifest themselves

Sensitivity to the product can be so high that the person immediately begins choking, nausea, headache, vomiting, and swelling. Of course you can also try to get rid of headaches with folk remedies. In this case it is enough just one smell of an intolerant substance to manifest the above symptoms. That is why allergy nutrition must be carefully controlled, so that no forbidden ingredient is accidentally found in any dish.

If you make a mistake, an exacerbation may occur. You must be careful to listen to how you feel. If the first signs of allergies are detected (weakness, chills, itching, swelling, rash), immediately take special medicine or call an ambulance. If the allergy symptoms are not pronounced, they will pass after a couple of days.
