in this movie, there are a few relationships between characters that was not shown in the movie. in this movie, angeal and genesis spent more time together, they became closer friends. genesis, who left angeal's side for midgar to become a soldier, saw angeal as his brother, and angeal, who stayed with zack, saw genesis as his brother as well.
genesis appears shortly before zack and tifa in the ruins of nibelheim. he tells zack about sephiroth's origins and about the jenova project before leaving. he returns to shinra and says that jenova's genes are in sephiroth's cells, and that sephiroth's "birth" was a sham. he urges zack to heal sephiroth, and zack, fearing that sephiroth will react violently, refuses. geneses begins to perform surgeries on zack, and tifa jumps in to stop him. after geneses reveals that he is actually a clone of sephiroth, sephiroth appears, and together they confront zack, tifa, and geneses. after geneses is defeated, sephiroth and zack interrogate him about jenova's experiments, and sephiroth then destroys geneses's body.
in the brotherhood of the black coffee shop, the kid and the leader are talking about the new genesis soldier. the kid then comments about the past, explaining that he "wasn't there" when it came to the rest of the soldier class. after defeating genesis soldier, the kid comments on what the soldiers had become, with the leader agreeing. the kid then reveals that he was adopted and then asks the leader what happened to his biological parents, to which the leader replies that he left and never came back.
genesis arrives in midgar, and meets cloud, whom he greets before trying to break into his mansion. cloud has been keeping the fact that sephiroth and zack are still alive a secret, but genesis destroys him and goes to meet sephiroth. after sephiroth defeats genesis, the two of them prepare to fight cloud, and sephiroth wonders where zack is. 81555fee3f

Genesis
Genesis (Production I.G.; Japanese: ジェネシス Kyuussiscience) is a 1998 Japanese animated science fiction film. A sequel, The Genesis Children (Genesis no inu made), was released in 1999.
Director Takashi Miike previously had made several of his own animated shorts that were inspired by Japanese manga and horror films, notably Uzumaki and Gozu. (One such film, V-Tetei, was later remade by Hayao Miyazaki as Castle of Sand.)
Plot
As her "loving" husband goes through a long court battle due to his disability, he becomes increasingly abusive. Meanwhile, the couple's two children are abducted by a religious cult that has gained considerable power in the area, and her husband, masquerading as God, is blamed.

This was the final of four films Miike had made about the secluded island of Shichikujima. In this film, he attempted to more closely link the characters' lives to the world around them, in an attempt to show how the world's problems impact the island.
Sequel
The Genesis Children (Genesis no inu made) was released in Japan in 1999. It is a movie about a group of children from the year 2000 living on an island so 'un-unified' by the outside world that it has been left to rot. The name 'Genesis Children' came from the fact that this film was the fourth in a series of films about the island. The children are characterized by 'wearing' masks, which they sometimes remove when in public.
Plot
The Genesis Children (Genesis no inu made) follows four children living on an island, and the people and events surrounding them. The children live in the same town but none of them can remember the previous generation, as an 'Enlightenment' has altered their DNA.
