Thermometers are the most ideal way to measure any temperature. The meters measure the degree of hotness and coolness of the substance or the surrounding.

Specifically talking about air temperature, there are thermometers that determine air temperature.

How is air temperature measured?

Traditionally, air temperature measurement is done with mercury-in-glass thermometers that are protected from any type of radiation and are enclosed in some form of screen. It is also common to measure air temperature together with the help of a wet bulb temperature.

Air temperature is measured with common thermometers that consist of a glass rod with a very thin tube in it.The tube contains a liquid supplied from a reservoir, or "bulb," at the base of the thermometer. Sometimes the liquid is mercury, and sometimes it is red-colored alcohol.

It is important to measure air temperature as people and goods, and products react very sensitively to temperature values that are too high or too low.
