What Jack Welsh Said on Team Management
Truly, the real key to building effective teams is by selecting the right people. But you may ask: who are the right people? Who are those people you can give the chance to “spread their wings” in your organization?

How Can We Maximize the Concept of Team Work?
Let’s consider Jack Welsh’s suggestion.
According to the former Chairman of General Electric, “If you pick the right people and give them the opportunity to spread their wings then you almost, don’t have to manage them.”
Truly, the real key to building effective teams is by selecting the right people. But you may ask: who are the right people? Who are those people you can give the chance to “spread their wings” in your organization?
The right people aren’t necessarily those who have obtained the highest qualification. And they don’t have to be the best in their fields.
The right team players in every organization are those who understand the vision of the leader. That is, they know exactly where their leader is taking them to.
If they can see what the leader sees, they would naturally fit in and be able to spread their wings appropriately. To develop the right team, you should also be interested in individuals with unique skills.
You don’t want to have people who look alike. Like the old saying goes, “when two people are exactly alike, one of them is unnecessary. So, try to find individuals with unique talents.
You should also bring together people of unlike character. The right team is made up of individuals with different types of personality traits.
Someone who loves to laugh and a person who usually keeps a straight face can be a good blend. Also, don’t be afraid to have on your team, someone who likes the streets and a bookish person. So, feel free to have people of diverse character!
