Small-business marketing plans are based on experience including best tactics in the last year, incorporating trends and knowing the competitive landscape.

Put them all together into a cohesive plan of action to guide marketing in the near and long term.

“Evolving is the word that best describes my experience with marketing,” said Sonia Harris. “I would love to be an early adopter, but I’m getting there slowly. I’ve put too much pressure on myself at times.”

Harris is an event manager with experience in the association and nonprofit sectors for meeting and exhibit management, conference planning, budget development and membership development.

She also owns Vizbrandent™, a visual branding and ad design agency. As Harris describes it, the company is the fusion of visual branding and entertainment.
