Perhaps, this is the reason why you haven’t realized your vision.

A leader with an unclear vision may face huge challenges that may compel him to quit. And he may not be aware that the real reason for his failure has to do with the vision he developed. So, he goes about blaming others for his failure.

There are many reasons why leaders who have a powerful vision fail to make a
success of it. One of them is their failure to develop a
clear vision.

Instead of developing a clear vision, they try to work with a blurry vision
that even they themselves can’t see through. They start out their leadership journey with an unclear picture of where they want to go.

You see, a leader with a fuzzy vision is bound to fail.

Leaders of all groups, rely on their vision in the same way a car driver depends on his car windshield. If a leader’s vision is unclear, he would certainly move haphazardly in the same way that a car with a bad windshield does in the rain.

Think of a car driver who tries to drive in the rain with a bad windshield
wiper. That driver would most likely have an accident before he gets to
his destination. Similarly, a leader with an unclear vision will likely
hit a rock on his way to the top. Because of his blurred vision, he
wouldn’t be sure of which steps to take.

Like in the case of a driver whose windshield is blurred, the leader with an unclear vision would almost certainly not get to his destination.

Therefore, your vision functions like a windshield. Similar to windshield, vision
serves as a means through which you can view your destination. For that
reason, it must be clear.

Also, we can compare a leader with an unclear vision to a drunk driver. In order to get to their destination, both of them would have to stagger. Instead of taking quick and steady steps, they will find themselves wobbling. Normally, they both take slow and unstable steps. To advance, they hit and miss until they get to wherever they are going. If they aren’t lucky, they would end up at a place they didn’t plan to be.

Just like a drunk driver, a leader with an unclear vision is likely to get hurt while journeying. While the drunk driver could incur physical injuries, the leader with an unclear vision gets bruised by mental, emotional and financial losses.

There are leaders who fail, not because they aren’t capable of leading but because they had an unclear vision at the beginning of their careers.

A leader with an unclear vision may face huge challenges that may compel
him to quit. And he may not be aware that the real reason for his failure has to do with the vision he developed. So, he goes about blaming others for his failure. Or he might even think his failure is caused by demons.

If the vision isn’t clear, then you’re not going to succeed. Until your vision is clear, don’t begin your leadership journey.
