“Some beautiful paths can’t be discovered without getting lost”

The road less traveled is an insightful idea. It relates to basically “life being a journey”. I recall it to be clearly understood through the poem ‘The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.

We all go through decisions in life. Some are made for better some are for worse whether being it life-changing or not. Ironically life is a road with different paths. Taking or choosing one path over another changes the course of one’s life.

Often in our life, we come across a crossroads where we need to make a decision and I think we should choose a path that seems more challenging. Hard paths will eventually lead to the best destinations literally and figuratively. Just have faith and follow.

Life is full of laughter, cries, disappointment, inconveniences, and joy it all depends on the road we have chosen and the attitude we develop towards it. I try to visualize the path I have chosen as life evolves. Life is full of surprises it is not necessary that we will go with what we have planned. Life always throws one or the other things unannounced we should be diligently prepared to make it smooth and better. We all are travelers on this road of Life.

We learn our hardest lesson through the hardest road we have followed. The road in life with more hurdles makes a difference in our lives. Hardships often prepare an ordinary person for an extraordinary destiny.

“Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference”.

with this quote from the poem I would like to share one of my most excruciating experiences in life where I was standing on a fork of a road and I had to make the wisest decision that could holistically make a difference in my life.

It was a decision I took long back may be at a time I wasn’t even a teenager. I was actually a kid but if I look down the lane I consider that choice of mine a life-evolving moment.

I was just 12 years old wherein I was given a choice to start playing cricket professionally or be a studious kid only who is dwelled up in studies most of the time.

My parents left me on a fork of life where I could choose a road most traveled and another which had a better claim and wanted wear. I was in a dilemma about which bridge to cross and which bridge to burn. And after much introspection, I took the road less traveled by i.e. a life towards playing cricket professionally with studies as well.

Honestly, the Initial days were most of the struggle as being a person who was into studies only and now cricket as well got me into difficult situations, balancing both at the same time was the hard part, at times you are the only one from your family who is sailing in the two boats and playing and studying seven days a week with no holidays is the real task. After a struggle of almost a few months, I settled into that life where I became independent, confident, vigilant, and competitive. I discovered a completely new side of mine which I wouldn’t have been able to come across if I had not taken that hard choice.

But today if I look back I feel that it was the best decision I could ever take as it has made an enormous impact on my life the confidence, exposure, bonding, teamwork, thinking of all the aspects while taking a decision, etc. all I learned there are still imbibed in me and I truly feel this is the reason why I m here today in one the premier institute for management.

I would like to conclude with my experience that always finds the path to your journey in life. Do not try to follow others and if you find yourself getting lost among the herd. Cherish your journey and be grateful as it makes you gain more in life.

Fall but do not quit, cry but do not give up. Our choices in life always lead us from darkness to light in a blissful journey called LIFE.
