A Small Thing to Help You Achieve Your Big Goals
Overseen and underestimated by so many people
The power of small consistent steps.
It is underestimated by so many people.
By too many people.
People never think about the fact that small things lead to big things.
That everyone and everything starts somewhere.
Apple started in the garage.
Google started in a dorm room.
Do you fear thinking about big things?
Sometimes it’s hard for our brains to imagine big things because we fear that people laugh at us when we talk about big things.
(Not giving a sh*t about these people is a topic for another day.)
But just think for a second about small things…
They are doable, right?
Small steps are achievable.
Small steps create no pressure.
Small goals create no fear.
And do you know what the wonderful thing about that is?
All these small steps lead to a clearly defined goal.
A bigger picture.
There is an old saying that goes:
“A temple made of bricks is built one brick at a time.”
Yes, one brick, second brick, third brick…
And many years later you have a giant spiritual citadel that stands for a thousand years!!
Of course, you should always start with the big picture and have it always in mind…
What do you want?
Where do you want to go?
What is your vision?
This needs to be defined clearly.
But we have to combine this with the present and start outlining the steps to get there.
But think in small steps.
I always keep the big picture in the back of my mind but focus on the small steps needed to get there.
I know I just need to take one step in the direction I want to go in and everything will develop on its own.
This actually even gives me peace and balance.
Once I’ve taken that step, I just need to take another step in the same direction. And so on.
When you think this way, it becomes quickly doable and achievable.
One foot in front of the other and eventually you will get to your goal.
I love the quote from Bill Gates:
“We overestimate what we can achieve in the next two years and underestimate what we can achieve in the next ten.”
So many people want to manifest their goals overnight or as quickly as possible.
They want everything NOW.
Many lack the patience and consistency needed to manifest things in life.
Patience, consistency, perseverance, focus, and willpower are some of the qualities you need.
But more importantly, never underestimate the power of small.
