I updated Creative's Silverlight servive to version 6.1 and then test the card (No longer working). Almost 12 hours later, it STILL WAS NOT WORKING!! So I tried to update silverlight to version 6.2 (as alternative to the above), but I got an error. My hardware changed so I had the active X-fi MB audio device change to my EDX ESI card (same as the one not working) and it WORKED!. Then I went back to the X-fi and tried to upgrade to version 6.3 and it also failed. Sigh, I'll try to go to Creative's forums to see if they will fix this or if there is a way to fix this. :sad:
It was a nightmare, but I ended up with a working CODEC and it sounds much better than the default soundblaster 10 settings. I've never managed to get the SB 18 drivers to work in the past with Vista.
I have this thing called the Creative sound blaster x-fi mobile MB on my laptop. The sound is real garbage. So i decided to download the X-fi Xtreme Audio XP update patch, but that didnt worjk. So I googled like a slut on a Thursday night, and found this page. Maybe you can e-mail the creative guys and tell them to make that Updater available on their website, and I also appreciate your e-mail when there is a problem with SB cards, etc.
Found my problem doing google search amazon has it for less and download windows supplied files. Also geckodriver, geckodriver-master, geckodriver-2.0.5, as of March 2015. I think I might have had a brain freeze when I tried to make linux config links, don't ask me again, that's why I'm here asking already. a0fb89163a
