After the massive tech layoffs this week, it’s good to realize you always need a backup plan. Here are my usual 3 pillars successful job search strategy:
a) Job boards — Well, no surprise there, right? Job boards such as Indeed.com , StepStone , Career Builder , Seek or Monster are the most popular ones globally, but for your successful job search you need to identify the job boards with the most traffic in your country, for example for Poland it’s @Pracuj.pl. Once you registered, make sure to put all your details into your profile and make yourself available to be found in a candidate search. Also, set up new job alerts matching your profile and location to be delivered to you asap. You want to be one of the first candidates applying, but don’t rush it too much — better to apply with an edited, job opportunity-tailored resume than be the first person with a generic one. If your position can be remote, try a few of the different biggest cities in your country.
